The Devil Wears Prada, Anne Hathaway proposes the reboot: “They should relaunch it”

The devil wears Prada is the film that definitively consecrated Anne Hathaway, alongside Mery Streep, nominated for an Oscar for the role of Miranda Priestly, ruthless editor of a fashion magazine in New York. Hathaway now confesses that she wouldn’t mind seeing a reboot of the film with a new set of actors.

“They could relaunch it, pick new people and do it” said Hathaway, more reluctant to evaluate the possibility of a sequel, and therefore a return to the role of Andy Sachs. To The View the actress said:“I don’t know if there will be a sequel. I just think that movie was in a different era. Now everything has become so digital and that movie is based on the concept of making a physical thing and it’s just very different. It’s tempting to think about Andy and Emily having to get Miranda coffee and she’s somewhere in Europe. And then on the way they pick up Stanley Tucci who’s at a restaurant in Italy. It’s tempting but I don’t think it’s going to happen.” concluded Hathaway, who spoke a few days ago about the crazy fan theory about The Devil Wears Prada.

Anne Hathaway was the ninth pick at the casting for the role of Andy in the film. To declare it the same actress to the competitors of RuPaul’s Drag Race:“I was the 9th choice for The Devil Wears Prada. But I did it! Wait, never give up!”.
Among other options for the role, Rachel McAdams turned down the partwhile Claire Danes and Juliette Lewis were considered.
