The new series is a screen adaptation DC comic book by Jeff Lemireand one of its producers is Robert Downey Jr., commonly known as the movie Iron Man. However, don’t expect a superhero show. “Gourmand” is a touching, fairy tale about hybrids of children and animalsthat need to run away and hide from the people hunting them.

The action of “Łasucha” takes place in a world that was shaken by the Great Depression 10 years ago. The devastating virus has killed millions of people around the world. The plague also mysteriously led to the uprising a new hybrid species. The few children born after the pandemic are half human, half animal.
One of such individuals is Gus – half a boy, half a deer with a big heart and an even greater appetite for sweets. However, Gus cannot live a quiet life and concentrate on his childhood activities. There was a reward for catching people like him. Therefore, when after a decade spent in a forest shelter, he is attacked by cruel hunters, must embark on a dangerous and extraordinary journey after post-apocalyptic America. Fortunately, he is not alone. He is accompanied by a mysterious tramp named Jepperdwho saved his life. The man promises the boy that he will lead him to the legendary safe haven for hybrid children.

They also act as executive producers along with the Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, Amanda Burrell, and Linda Moran. Jim Mickle is also the director of one of the episodes. They are responsible for directing the rest Toa Fraser and Robyn Grace.
