Teqball is a sport that involves hitting a ball with your legs, body or head to hit the table on your opponent’s side. Two or four people can fight each other in the competition. The ball used is very similar to the one played by football players on the grass.

An interesting fact is the table, which looks similar to the one used in table tennis. However, it is not flat, but convex. Its shape has been specially designed and is protected by a patent.

So far, the world championships have been organized in Budapest (twice) and in Reims. Hungarians, Serbs and Romanians are considered to be the main favorites to win. Poles, French, Brazilians and Americans are also in the forefront.

Poles have the greatest hopes for Adrian Duszak, who has already stood on the podium in the world championship twice in the singles competition. A lot can also be done by doubles Duszak – Bartłomiej Frańczuk. In the women’s competition, it is worth watching Paulina Łężak (single) and Agieszka Rybicka and Aleksandra Orzechowska (doubles). In the mixed competition, our main candidates for a good result are Ewa Kamińska and Patryk Kamiński.

During the World Cup, fans will be able to meet many world football stars. The teqball ambassador, Carles Puyol, will appear in Gliwice. He is the former captain of FC Barcelona, world and European champion with Spain. Lukas Podolski, Michał Żewłakow and Paweł Golański will also appear on the occasion of the World Cup.
