A recent Variety publication revealed that Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied moved to Paris with their children shortly before their separation.
The couple, who chose to settle in the City of Lights, were composed of Natalie Portman, aged 42, Benjamin Millepied, aged 46, their son Aleph, aged 12, and their daughter Amalia , aged 6, reports the magazine OK!
The information was revealed as part of a profile of Natalie Portman published by Variety, in which the outlet noted the family’s move to Paris.
This update on his situation was produced for Vanity Fair France’s 10th anniversary, well before the labor dispute between SAG-AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, which resulted in a strike. But due to friction with Benjamin Millepied, she is considering leaving Paris to settle in Los Angeles. This prospect, as revealed by Closer magazine, would be feared by the director. This would mean estrangement from their children.
In August, rumors began circulating about a possible split between Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied, particularly after the actress was photographed without her wedding ring on their 11th wedding anniversary. This separation was then confirmed by Us Weekly.
Two months earlier, rumors had also circulated concerning Benjamin Millepied’s alleged infidelity with Camille Étienne, an environmental activist. At the time, a source claimed that the Oscar winner was trying to maintain some stability for her family despite the public setbacks, adding that the actress “was ready to see if she could rebuild trust in Millepied, so that their children don’t grow up in a broken home.”
