The leaders are leaving for the Poles. Bad inauguration of the World Cup by the Biało-Czerwonych

To say that it was not a good weekend for Polish jumpers is like saying nothing. Apart from single jumps, the Biało-Czerwoni presented themselves much below their abilities. This is reflected in the general classification of the World Cup.

Only Kamil Stoch can be moderately praised for the first weekend of the 2021/22 season in the World Cup in ski jumping. However, the Pole showed only 2 good jumps over the weekend: in the Friday qualifications and in the final series of the Saturday competition. The latter gave him promotion to 5th place. On Sunday, the two-time winner of the Crystal Ball did not qualify for the second series and after two competitions in total, he has 45 points on his account.

The second Pole in the general classification is Dawid Kubacki, who scored 20 points for Saturday’s performance. A day later, Piotr Żyła was in the thirties, adding 15 “points” to his output. Andrzej Stękała also scored a point for thirtieth place.

And that’s it for the Polish cup achievements. The leaders of our representatives drove away very much. The yellow jersey of the leader was kept by Karl Geiger, who was first and second in Nizhny Tagil. Halvor Egner Granerud loses twenty “points” to the German. Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi is on the lowest step of the podium.

The next World Cup competitions are coming this weekend. They will be held in Ruce on November 27 and 28.
