Ffp2 recommended only for the frail (staff and students) in view of the return to class. The provisions also concern hygiene measures and sanitation
It will be a return to class without bezel: only the frail (Ffp2) and those with a cold (surgical or Ffp2) will carry it. Unless the situation worsens drastically in the coming weeks, schools will also adapt to the new system of mitigating the effects of Covid with measures that provide for a minimum impact on student activities. The National Institute of Health writes it in the document with strategic indications for the school year 2022/23 which will apply equally to all schools from primary upwards, that is, to pupils from 6 years old and to all school staff.
The guidelines, which the Ministry of Education will send to the principals in the next few hours, foresee two scenarios and indicate to the schools the necessary planning in case a further wave of infections arrives in the autumn. The basic indications provide for the use of Ffp2 masks only for the frail (staff and students), those who are at risk of developing severe forms of Covid-19. Spacing will not be necessary and activities will resume as before the pandemic: they remain recommended frequent air exchange And sanitation ordinary and extraordinary periodicals of school premises. At school, however, there must be a Covid contact as in previous years.
The particularly precise document regarding the management of students (or even staff) with symptoms compatible with Covid: These are acute respiratory symptoms such as cough and cold with difficulty in breathing, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of taste or smell, intense headache, temperature above 37.5, positive diagnostic test. In the event of a cold or mild symptoms, you go to school with a surgical mask or Ffp2. The ISS writes: The cold alone cannot always be a reason in itself for not attending or leaving school, in the absence of fever.
As for the management dhe infected studentsinstead, the guidelines refer to the general rules on isolation and possible quarantine that will be in force at the beginning of the school. To re-enter – reads the document – a negative swab will still be needed in class.
In the event of a new wave of Covid infections, more stringent measures will be applied, similar to those of last year:
use of surgical or Ffp2 masks for students, Ffp2 masks for school staff, spacing of one meter (where logistical and structural conditions allow it), shifts at the canteen, suspension of trips, measures to avoid crowding in common areas, break in class.
