The only four words that Legolas says to Frodo in 9 hours of trilogy (and they are more than enough) Lemberger Zeitung

When Frodo, Gandalf and the three hobbits decide to embark on an incredible adventure during the Council of Elrond in The Fellowship of the Ring, they are joined by warriors of all races and bloodlines, as if it were the beginning of ‘Roleplay. Count on my bow

During the nine hours of Lord of the Rings (even more so if you count the elongated editions) it cannot be said that Legolas and Frodo have a close relationship. In fact, they only look at each other once and that’s during the Council itself, when they all gather their weapons and take an oath to destroy the One Ring: “And with my bow” are the only four words the elf speaks to the hobbit. There’s no way to establish a friendship like that.

And it shows, of course: in the end, when Frodo is in bed and all his friends are idling, he recognizes everyone and calls them by name until Legolas does and he doesn’t. just stammer. The most popular fan theory is that after so much going on, he doesn’t even know the elf’s name. Nobody could blame him, who remembers a person he said four words to once?
