The review of “Open air cinema”, for years one of the most awaited events of the Braidese summer, comes to life. The new screening is scheduled for Thursday 7 July: it is “Murder on the Nile” by Kenneth Branagh, who in addition to being the recorder acts together with Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Rose Leslie, Annette Bening. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Agatha Christie, already brought to the big screen in 1978 in the film with Peter Ustinov in the role of Hercule Poirot.
Linnet Ridgeway (Gal Gadot), a beautiful and wealthy heiress, has just married the fiancé (Armie Hammer) of her best friend Jacqueline de Bellefort. For their honeymoon, the newlyweds decide to take a cruise on the Nile. Among the passengers on the boat is the famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. One night, Jacqueline breaks into the boat and shoots her ex-boyfriend, injuring her in the leg. Shocked by her own gesture and in the throes of a nervous breakdown, the woman is sedated with a powerful dose of morphine that leaves her unconscious all night. The next morning, Linnet Ridgeway’s lifeless body is discovered. If Jacqueline certainly cannot be the perpetrator of the murder, who will be the culprit of the crime?
On the occasion of the appointments with the great cinemas, before the projections (from 20.30 to 21.15) the Museum of Palazzo Traversa offers the possibility of proceeding with a mini guided tour, free and themed, of the collections of the Museum of Art, History and Archeology of Palazzo Traversa. The evening of 7 July will be dedicated to the archaeological section. Also in this case it is necessary to book at the Tourist Office.
