The Power of the Dog Best Film

Winners announced Bafta Awards 2022with the ceremony held in person at the Royal Albert Hall in London presented by Rebel Wilson. Dunes by Warner Bros dominates in the “technical” categories with five awards: scenography, special effects, photography, sound and original soundtrack.

The power of the dog by Jane Campion wins the main prize, best film, with Belfast by Kenneth Branagh which won the award for the best British film. Paul Thomas Anderson wins the Best Original Screenplay category with his Licorice Pizza.

The Bafta Awards for acting saw Will Smith win for A winning family – King Richard (lead actor), Ariana DeBose for West Side Story (Supporting Actress) and Troy Kotsur for The signs of the heart – TAIL (supporting actor).

The James Bond movie No Time to Diehonored with the opening number of the evening which saw Dame Shirley Bassey singing “Diamonds Are Forever”, won for the editing of Tom Cross and Elliot Graham.
