Project Runway is an American reality television series focused on fashion design. The series features contestants competing against each other to create the best outfits, but there’s a catch! It is limited in time, material and theme. Moreover, their designs are judged by a panel and one or more designers are disqualified from the show every week. While the finalists have the chance to present their creations at the New York Fashion Week (NYFW), the first winner will receive a cash prize of $ 250,000!
Project Runway was created by Eli Holzman and run by model Heidi Klum from 2004 to 2017. The program returned to Bravo in 2018, following the bankruptcy of The Weinstein Company. Klum and designer mentor Tim Jean left the show in 2018 to host another fashion show, “Making the Cut”, on Amazon Video.

Who is Katie Cortman?
Katie Cortman is a fashion designer by profession and her Instagram is self-explanatory and reflects her passionate creativity immensely! One of Project Runway’s ambitious designers, Kortman enjoys drawing, dancing and jumping, as well as sewing.
Will you impress the judges? Only time will prove it. During her show, she tries to show off her creativity and love for color, and her talent for fashion, design and images comes together to create wearable art!
It’s very clear that Katie is inspired by the fine arts. It is best known for its non-standard, unique and colorful prints. She is married to an obstetrician gynecologist who works in the military and they have four children together. When her husband moved to Bahrain to work, Katie decided on a whim to perfect her sewing skills. I fell in love with couture by the way!
When her family returned to the United States, she chose never to buy clothes. This forced her to invent and make her own clothes. Katie takes great pride in creating ready-to-wear, colorful designs and prints that women can use on multiple occasions without hassle. Recently, her family moved to Japan and she moved to Japan – again due to her husband’s job demands. Today, Katie focuses on drawing inspiration from her new cultural environment.
Kortman is also the proud owner of a website that sells her designs as well as teaches the art of sewing! In addition, he runs an online design store called “Spoonflower.” While you’re on the topic of the show, stay tuned to see if Katie takes the big check home this season.
The nineteenth season of Project Runway will air new episodes from Thursday October 14 at 21:00 ET, on Bravo. Viewers can also watch the latest episodes on Peacock TV the next day
