At the helm of the company is right back Bob Igerwho had held the role of Chief Executive Officer at Walt Disney from 2005 to 2020.
Iger wasted no time and just before returning to the competition at the helm of the company, he sent an email to all Disney employees, which reads as follows:
It is with an incredible sense of gratitude and humility – and, I must admit, a little amazement – that I write to you this evening with the news that I will be returning to The Walt Disney Company as CEO,
I know this 5i company has asked a lot over the past three years, and these times certainly remain quite challenging, but as you’ve heard me say before, I’m optimistic and if I’ve learned one thing from my years at Disney, it’s that even in the face of uncertainty, perhaps especially in the face of uncertainty, our employees and cast members achieve the impossible.
