The revival officially ordered at Disney +

The Marvel Cinematic Universe officially welcomes a great advocate of the good and just. To the San Diego Comic-Conthe president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige announced the order to Disney + from Daredevil: Born Againa new series – essentially a revival – centered on the character of Matt Murdock / Daredevil played from 2015 to 2018 by Charlie Cox in the adaptation then canceled by Netflix.

The first details of Daredevil: Born Again

Feige explained that for Daredevil: Born Again 18 episodes have been ordered, more than any other Marvel series so far, available in streaming starting in the spring of 2024. The series will be part of the Step 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and, in addition to Cox, will also involve Vincent D’Onofrio again as his archenemy Wilson Fisk / Kingpin.

That Disney + had big plans for these characters, actually inherited from Netflix last March, was understood earlier this month when it was announced that both will appear in Echothe spin-off of Hawkeye centered on the relentless heroine played by Alaqua Cox, expected on the platform for 2023, also part of Phase Five as revealed at the convention. Before this, there had been some timid courtship as well Spider-Man: No Way Home for Matt Murdock / Daredevil and in the same Hawkeye for Wilson Fisk / Kingpin. Also, just a few hours earlier Marvel had announced that Cox will voice his character in the animated series Spider-Man: Freshman Yearexpected in 2024.
