One of the biggest music festivals in the world, this year’s Rock in Rio, in September, is set to break records in economic terms. With 11 sponsors (being C&A, TIM and TikTok for the first time), the event should be 20% above the last edition, in 2019, according to Rodolfo Medina (right), president of Grupo Dreamers, organizer of the attraction.
Although it does not disclose its billing data, a survey by Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) estimates that this year’s Rock in Rio will generate R$ 1.7 billion in business in the state capital. “Just like the public, companies want to be back to life live”, said the businessman. The speed of sales endorses this perception.
In the pre-sale of the Rock in Rio Card, according to him, 200 thousand tickets were sold out in 1h28. In the official sale, the day that has Justin Bieber as the headliner, sold out in 12 minutes. In less than five hours, six days had closed sales. This year, there will be 250 concerts and more than 670 hours of music.
for the executive Antonio FatigaCEO of Artplan, one of the Dreamers Group companies, will be the biggest and best edition of all time. “This year’s Rock in Rio is very similar to the 1985 edition because it represents, for the moment, the possibility of reunion and the generation of new and special moments.” The show that stopped in 2019, can’t stop anymore.
