(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 28 – A legendary icon of French cinema, Catherine DENEUVE, Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement for the first red carpet in Venice 79 on the evening of August 31. The Mostra del cinema celebrates its first 90 years with an edition that promises to be full of great guests with in particular a spotlight for the talents loved by the younger audience. Here are some of them: In the opening ceremony, with the godmother Rocio MUÑOZ MORALES, present in addition to the director of the exhibition Alberto Barbera and the president of the Biennale Roberto Cicutto, the full juries starting with the one that will award the Golden Lion on 10 September, chaired by Julianne MOORE.
Adam DRIVER, Greta GERWIG, Jodie TURNER-SMITH are expected for the opening film, WHITE NOISE by Noah BAUMBACH. On 1 September for Todd FIELD’s TAR, in competition, the divine Cate BLANCHETT arrives with Noémie MERLANT (the French actress of Portrait of the young girl in flames).
