We had missed him! Leonardo DiCaprio will return in great shape to the cinema on October 18. Directed by Martin Scorsese (The wolf of Wall Street) from the eponymous book by David Grann, Killers of the Flower Moon recounts an unknown sequence in the history of the United States. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Osage Indian people were one of the richest people in the world thanks to oil. A financial heritage ogled by disreputable white people who intrigued, extorted and stole as much Osage money as possible before resorting to murder. A chilling tale in which the star of titanic interprets the nephew of the main character camped by Robert de Niro.
It’s been more than two decades since Martin Scorsese fell in love with Leonardo DiCaprio. The duo will meet for a seventh collaboration around an adaptation of another book by David Grann. After acquiring the rights to Killers of the Flower Moon (a priori 5 million dollars), Apple has paid those of its new test, The Castaways of the Wagner, released in the United States last April and available in France since Friday, August 25. An acquisition of which the studio can be proud since the book remains the third best seller in its category, 14 weeks after having landed in bookstores. It would thus have been sold to several tens of thousands of copies, according to the New York Times.

His new book takes us to 1740 shortly after the sinking of a British ship of the line on a secret mission to plunder the cargoes of a Spanish Empire galleon. The few survivors find refuge on a desolate island off the coast of Patagonia with no vital resources. In these hostile conditions, the unfortunates indulge in cannibalism until a mutiny breaks out. A chaos for which they will have to answer during a historic trial. It remains to be seen what role Leonardo DiCaprio will play in this insane story…
