The players may kill the walkers by stabbing them, braining them, or by punching their brain. The players will have the ability to scale the building to trap the enemies and also attack from distance via throwing weapons, long range firearms, and bows. Physics-based fights or combat will control the ways melee weapons will be controlled. There is also a timer in the game which is known as ‘The Bells’, wherein after a certain period tower would ring the bell to stir the flock.
After the bell has rung, horde spawns in and chases after the player. There is also a crafting system in which the player should scavenge varied items and then retrieve them for making new weapons or items. To unlock the crafting recipes, the player may either find them at random and safes drops or may upgrade the crafting station.
There’s a random event that occurs at every location whereby the Exile would appear, who would either simply ask the player for the supplies, in exchange for the material, or put the player under gunpoint and demand for supplies.
There exists in the game 4 types of Walkers or Zombies. The former is the regular zombie which is spawned naturally. And the latter is spawned when the player kills a regular human without braining. And this second type of zombie that is created takes up the features of the human that is killed, the Zombie replicates this human, replicating the cut-offs, the limbs, helmets, looks, and armour.
The third type of zombie ‘infected’ walker would bring the max health to the player when stabbed via melee weapons. The 4th and the last is the ‘elite walker’ always seen wearing body armour and helmets, these walkers are very difficult to be killed as their helmets block any braining attempts. The weapon can be held depending upon the weight of the weapon, there are different weights in the weapons. Overall, the game is easy and understandable, and amazing to play.
