Indeed, the Lamborghini Countach appeared in Martin Scorsese’s film The wolf of Wall Street will soon be auctioned by the Sotheby’s house. A real automotive gem, her sale could approach 2 million dollars.
If you’ve seen the movie, it’s impossible not to remember the scene where this magnificent car appears. It’s the funniest and most unusual. Leonardo DiCaprio (Jordan Belfort in the film) struggles to get into his Lamborghini while he is drunk. Between nostalgia and achievement

The Italian manufacturer enters the legend of the history of the automobile presenting a prototype of the countach at the Geneva International Motor Show in 1971. It becomes one of the fastest, most efficient and emblematic production sports cars of its time.
Between 1974 and 1990, the V12-powered supercar was produced in more than 2,000 copies.
The etymology of the name countach comes from a Piedmontese slang expression which means “fabulous”. It marks the astonishment of the industrial Bertone, at the sight of the car out on the road for the first time.

This specific model features an exterior White Polo and an interior Biancomaking it one of 12 all-white versions of the brand.
It also has a very powerful motor: a 5.2-liter V12 that generates up to 449 horsepower. Thanks to what it has under the hood, it can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4 seconds.
It will be auctioned on December 8, as part of the annual event Luxury Week by Sotheby’s.

The starting price has not been announced at this time, but the House expects this famous vehicle to start between 1.5 and 2 million dollars. Prepare to spend as much, if not more, than the Wolf of Wall Street!
