Saturday 7 May at 5.30 pm Piazza Santa Restituta will be the setting for the concert of the “Ladri di Carrozzelle”, the first group of the Italian music scene made up of artists with different types of disabilities. In their concerts the “Ladri di Carrozzelle” spread an original musical genre, SBROCK music, and through their lightness, optimism and good humor they try to sensitize viewers on the issues of disability and inclusion. For Mayor Pascale “it is an honor to host the band” Thieves of wheelchairs “, a well-known and appreciated reality, which has collaborated with even more important institutions than the Municipalities, such as the European Parliament”, where they were presented as Italian excellence and unique experience within the European Community. In addition to music, this reality is the bearer of very important values: from inclusion to solidarity, from respect for the person to the fight against all discrimination. The message he carries forward is commendable, namely that disability is not incapacitating. This is the most important aspect, which we want to bring to the attention of our community. “
The event, organized by the Municipality of Lacco Ameno, in collaboration with the “Un Ponte nel Vento” Association, will also be attended by the children involved in the “A Scuola per Mare” experience, a national project against educational poverty.
