In 2021, while we were still in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis, many films intended for theaters were released via streaming platforms. Among the few feature films to come out of this pandemic was a sci-fi blockbuster starring Chris Pratt.
No, we’re not talking about Guardians of the Galaxynot even terrible passengersdisavowed by its main actress, Jennifer Lawrence, but sympathetic The Tomorrow War (Tomorrow’s War). In this action movie, Chris Pratt plays Dan Forester, a former soldier turned biology professor who travels thirty years into the future to participate in humanity’s final battle against an alien invader.

Originally slated for theatrical release, The Tomorrow War finally made its way to Prime Video in April 2021. Despite mixed reviews, Chris Pratt’s film quickly became a hit and, a few months later, the most viewed on the platform that year! As a result, a sequel was quickly started, but no further news was released.
