This Xiaomi can be fully charged in 15 minutes!

No smartphone can work on a single charge as long as a classic cell phone, although there is a solution on the horizon that could potentially make this possible. For now, the workaround for this problem is the technology of ever faster charging – this Xiaomi can be fully charged in just a quarter of an hour!

This Xiaomi can be fully charged in 15 minutes!

Last year, the Chinese giant unveiled a technology that allows you to charge mobile devices with a power of up to 200 W. We are still waiting for it to go to the thatch, while the manufacturer promotes a slightly weaker, but still extremely fast charging with a power of 120 W.

This technology is already supported by, among others Xiaomi 11T Pro and Xiaomi 12 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro +, and now also Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge. The smartphone was officially unveiled in India today with the Xiaomi 11i, which supports 67W wired charging (up to 50% in less than 13 minutes; 5160mAh battery; charger included).

The version marked “HyperCharge” has battery with a total capacity of 4500 mAh that can be charged to 100% in just 15 minutes. This is possible thanks to the use of a two-cell battery (2x 2250 mAh), Mi-FC technology (it extends the time for which the battery is charged with high power, because by default it weakens the more the closer to full charge), as well as more paths through which electricity is supplied.

At the same time, the manufacturer declares that the “HyperCharge” model retains up to 80% of the battery capacity after up to 800 charge / discharge cycles, while the batteries in other smartphones only retain 60% after 500 cycles. In addition, the company informs that as many as 34 safety functions, double overcharge protection and a real-time temperature monitoring system have been used in the charging area, and that the TUV Rheinland certificate has been obtained, which confirms that this super-fast charging is safe.

What’s more, the owners of this device will be able to charge them also when the ambient temperature reaches -10 ℃ – in such circumstances the battery will be charged with a power of 12 W. The manufacturer ensures that no other smart phone available on the market offers such a possibility.

Battery capacity and supported charging power are the only aspects that make the new Xiaomi devices different. The remaining technical specification is identical in both cases and includes, inter alia:

  • 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution + 2400 × 1080 pixels (aspect ratio 20: 9; 395 ppi) with the function of refreshing the image with a frequency of up to 120 Hz and sampling of the touch with a frequency of up to 360 Hz; in addition, the screen provides a global brightness of 700 nits and a peak of 1200 nits,
  • MediaTek Dimensity 920 2.5 GHz processor with 5G modem and WiFi 6 support,
  • from 6 GB to 8 GB RAM,
  • 128 GB of built-in memory,
  • 16 Mpix camera (f / 2.45) on the front,
  • a set of cameras 108 Mpix (f / 1.89) + 8 Mpix (f / 2.2) with a lens with a viewing angle of 120 ° + 2 Mpix (f / 2.45) for macro photos on the back,
  • 360 ° light sensor,
  • gyroscope,
  • infrared sensor,
  • dual SIM (2x nano SIM or SIM + microSD),
  • Bluetooth 5.2,
  • Dual GPS / AGPS, Glonass, Beidou,
  • symmetrical stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res certification (wired and wireless),
  • Android system with MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition.

Both smartphones measure 163.65 × 76.19 × 8.34 mm. Interestingly, the “HyperCharge” version is lighter than the standard version (204 grams vs 207 grams). The former costs in India from 26,999 rupees (the equivalent of ~ 1,460 zlotys), and the second from 24,999 rupees (~ 1,350 zlotys).
