Family quarrel risks ending in tragedy in Cagliari, where last night the carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section they tasered a local 66-year-old who had attacked his wife.

The military intervened in the couple’s home after a request reached the operations center in via Nuoro by the same woman who was the victim of the attack.

Arrived on the spot, they saw the man – drunk – who attacked his wife and he threatened her with a knife and scissors. They invited him to follow them and he, in response, he also brandished the knife against the carabinieri.

So, to prevent the situation from escalating, one of the soldiers who intervened made him harmless thanks to two slight warning shocks with the taser.

The 66-year-old was taken to the barracks with the 118 ambulance, requested by the carabinieri themselves, and then transported to the Santissima Trinità hospital for investigations.

For him it clicked urgent removal from the family home. The man, already known to the police, was also referred for mistreatment in the family, threat and resistance to a public official.
