Tom Cruise surprises lucky fans while filming Mission: Impossible at Lake Disctrict | Cinema

If visiting the Lake District normally already gives strong and intense emotions since it is one of the most beautiful and scenic areas in England, the exceptionality of meeting Tom Cruise intent on shooting stunts for Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One would make a trip to the area even more noteworthy.

As The Northern Echo reports, this is exactly what happened to some lucky hikers in the High Crag area. The newspaper that publishes the news interviewed Adam Wheeler and Lucy Hinch, of Barnard Castle, who were walking their Husky when they met the Hollywood star who made himself available for a photo with them.

Adam Wheeler said:

He was friendly, polite and very humble. Tom Cruise also apologized for the noise caused by the helicopters and asked us if we were okay. He made sure that everyone who met him had a chance to take a picture with him. We were the last. After taking it with us, he simply paraglided down the valley to return to his base camp near Buttermere.

The couple, the newspaper said, realized that something was happening “atypical” observing the comings and goings of helicopters.

Wheeler explains that:

He was doing all his stunts. He was taken up by a helicopter then another caught him as he paraglided. We have seen that he has done it several times.
