In Kenya, Tessa Quayle, an activist investigating some pharmaceutical companies, is killed in mysterious circumstances. The news of her death dramatically affects the English diplomat and husband of the woman, Justin Quayle, to the point that all her certainties in her life seem to disappear. Now, Justin’s sole purpose is to find the killers and carry on his deceased wife’s work. Based on a novel by Le Carrè, The Constant Gardener has in itself the possibility of conquering the general public, although it suffers from an incompletely resolved structure. The themes of social commitment and love intertwine and amalgamate, not totally, expressing two parallel narrative lines that should touch and merge.
