All-out Russian offensive on Ukraine with new tanks and rocket launchers. Warning sirens rang out this morning in two cities in the northwest, Rivne and Lutsk, as a Russian missile struck a nine-story building in Karkiv overnight, killing a woman. A gas pipeline in the city was also destroyed. A radioactive waste disposal site in Kiev hit. According to the UN, at least 64 civilians have died so far. The Ukrainian government, on the other hand, has about 200. The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has announced that Putin will be prevented from using “his war chest” and has called Russia an economic pariah.
The Russian defense ministry has announced that Russian troops have surrounded two large cities in southern Ukraine, Kherson and Berdiansk, which have 290,000 and 110,000 inhabitants respectively. In addition, 471 Ukrainian soldiers were reportedly captured in the Kharkiv region: the soldiers surrendered voluntarily. 975 targets of the Ukrainian military infrastructure, including 23 command posts and 31 anti-aircraft missile systems, have been destroyed so far.

The Russian perhaps have entered Kharkiv, the second largest Ukrainian city: the head of the regional administration, Oleg Sinegubov, has made it known, according to reports from the BBC. Sinegubov urged local residents to stay in the shelters.
Oil depot hit, fears of toxic fumes
After the Russian bombing of the Vasylkiv oil depot on the outskirts of Kiev, city authorities warned that the burning site emits toxic fumes and invited residents, mostly already sheltered in shelters, to close their windows. The fire is also visible from Kiev, which is about 40 km away. Emergency services cannot put out the flames due to enemy fire and environmental disaster is feared.
