Material:
For the dough:
- 2 cups whole wheat bulgur
- 1 cup finely chopped beef or lamb
- 1 onion (grated)
- 1 tbsp black pepper paste
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tea glass olive oil
- 2 cups hot water
For interior mortar:
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 tea glass crushed walnuts

Construction:
First, for the dough, put the bulgur in a large bowl. Add grated onion, salt and black pepper paste.
Heat olive oil in a separate pan, add beef or lamb and fry well.
Add the roasted meat to the bulgur mixture. Add hot water and knead the mixture well. The consistency of the dough should be such that it does not stick to the hands but can be shaped.
Take walnut sized pieces from the dough, place them in your palm and press the dough with your finger to make it thin, so that the filling is ready.
For the filling, melt the butter and add crushed walnuts to it and mix. Add black pepper and salt to the mixture.
Put some of the walnut filling in the center of the thin dough, close the edges and roll them to shape a meatball.
Place the stuffed meatballs on a serving plate and serve with fresh lemon slices.
