Known as the world’s largest annual conference for broadcast, entertainment and technology professionals, the NAB Show starts this Saturday (23) expected to receive participants from 154 countries and exhibiting companies from 38 nations. This year’s event also marks the resumption of public attendance at the conference, a fact that has not occurred in the last two years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The exhibition will be spread between the North Hall, Central Hall and the newly constructed West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, and will welcome 358 exhibitors from 38 countries outside the US, including the UK, Canada, Germany, Belgium and France. In a statement, CEO Chris Brown highlighted the public’s return to the events. “We are excited to welcome back our friends and partners from around the world as our industry gets back to doing business in person,” he said.
He also stressed the agility in the global transmission of content. “At a time when content can travel the world in the blink of an eye, there’s nothing like the NAB Show to help the content community discover the tools, training and insights that will unleash the next global phenomenon,” said Chris Brown. .
The organization of the NAB Show highlighted in a statement that SET’30 will be held in person in the new pavilion of the Las Vegas Convention Center. “In addition, several international organizations, including the Brazilian Society of Television Engineering (SET), will hold meetings for their members at the NAB Show. Demonstrations of global technologies currently deployed outside the US will also be conducted by broadcasters and other media and entertainment companies during the Show.”
In addition to SET’30, the Brazilian Association of Electrical and Electronics Industry (Abinee) will also be with the Brazil Pavilion. The entity will have eight companies and which “will have a total of more than 110m² (being an island located between the streets with the highest traffic in the North pavilion of the fair) that are located in the North pavilion # N5214”.
Abinee informed that the companies that confirmed their presence at the Brazil pavilion, in partnership with the Brazilian Export Promotion Agency (Apex).
