The layoffs – The people fired are chief executive Parag Agrawal, chief financial officer Ned Segal, head of legal affairs and policy Vijaya Gadde and general counsel Sean Edgett. At least one of them was escorted out of the company headquarters.

“The bird is free” – Musk then tweeted “the bird is free”, referring to Twitter, whose logo is a blue bird.

The legal battle – After starting a legal battle, claiming he wanted to withdraw from the agreement reached in April due to the excessive presence of fake and spam accounts on the platform, Musk retraced his steps in early October, saying he wanted to lead to the operation ended and thus avoiding the hearing that should have been held at the Delaware Chancery Court. The parties had until today, Friday, October 28, to close the deal.
