Kanye West is back on Twitter. The social network, recently renamed X, reinstated the rapper, approximately eight months after his account was suspended, the Wall Street Journal Saturday July 29. Last fall, Kanye West posted an image depicting a swastika intertwined with a Star of David. The boss of Twitter, billionaire Elon Musk, considered that his message constituted “incitement to violence” and suspended the artist from the platform.

Kanye West assured the social network that he would not use his account to share anti-Semitic content or use harmful language, writes the Wall Street Journal. For now, the rapper has not yet posted anything new on his account. For its part, Twitter’s press service has not yet responded to AFP’s requests.

Sticky in a series of controversies for anti-Semitic remarks, Kanye West was dropped in succession by the brands he collaborated with. Last October, Adidas has ended its collaboration with the artist, with whom it produced the successful Yeezy sneakers. Clothing brands Gap and Balenciaga have also cut ties with the artist.
