UEFA Champions League. Robert Lewandowski polishes the record of successive wins

From the beginning of the 2019/20 season, Lewandowski’s team won all matches in which the Pole participated. And there were as many as 21 of them!

Bayern Munich has not won just two matches in the Champions League in the last three seasons – these were last season’s clashes against Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. Both, however, lacked Lewandowski.

21 consecutive wins is a definite record when it comes to consecutive victories in the Champions League achieved by one player. Lewandowski will have the opportunity to increase the result on December 8, when his team faces Barcelona.

Interestingly, Lewandowski scored goals in 18 of those 21 matches. During this time, he scored an incredible 29 goals.

The victory against Dynamo “Lewy” was sealed with an effective rollover hit. It was a 1-0 goal in the 14th minute of the match.

The Pole is the leader in the classification of shooters in the current season of the Champions League. He has amassed nine goals in five games so far and is two goals ahead of Sebastian Haller from Ajax Amsterdam and three goals over Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United).
