Law & Order: special victims unit
Set in the Big Apple, the series focuses on one particular type of crimesthose with a sexual background. In each episode we witness a new case and the investigation of a group of detectives who deal with these specific crimes against the person; having found the culprit, the ball passes to the assistant district attorneys, who take the case to court. Of course, Captain Olivia Benson returns, and with her are also Sergeant Fin Tutuola, Senior Detective Amanda Rollins and Assistant District Attorney Dominick “Sonny” Carisi. But there are also two new entries in the team: detectives Joe Velasco and Grace Muncy.
Maria Antonietta
Maria Antonietta tells the story of an incredibly modern and avant-garde young queen. Through a contemporary gaze, we discover the dark, manipulative and misogynistic world of the Versailles court in the second half of the 18th century. Marie Antoinette was only 14 when she left Austria to become the wife of the Dauphin of France (the future Louis XVI). From a stubborn young princess and constantly under pressure in a foreign nation to a fashion icon, she made a splash thanks to her charisma and her character: free, as independent as possible and feminist in her own way: in short, a decidedly “ahead” woman for those times!
Django
Freely inspired by western of cult by Sergio Corbucci, the awaited original Sky and CANAL+ series directed by Francesca Comencini, also artistic director of the project, Django is the story of a gunslinger in search of the truth about the massacre of his family who will find himself fighting for a more great. Texas, late 1800s: Django – played by Matthias Schoenaerts – is a cowboy without ideals in search of his daughter he believed lost, and it is by following in his footsteps that he arrives in New Babylon, a city that stands at the bottom of a crater, where everyone outcasts are welcome and where all are equal and free.
Here Django discovers that his daughter Sarah (Lisa Vicari) is alive, is twenty years old, and is to marry John Ellis (Nicholas Pinnock), the founder of New Babylon. But Sarah, who holds her father responsible for the deaths of their family, killed many years earlier while he was at war, wants Django to leave. He refuses to give up and does everything to get a second chance with her, becoming a valuable ally to Ellis as they defend New Babylon against the powerful Lady of Elmdale, Elizabeth Thurman (played by Noomi Rapace), on a personal mission whose purpose is to get rid of this community of thieves and sinners. All the main characters are bound unbeknownst to them by a web of secrets and a dark past destined to resurface.
Souls – All the lives you remember
Stockholm. The pathologist Allie, pregnant, tries in every way to prevent her husband Leo, an airplane pilot, from boarding a flight. In Berlin, 25-year-old Linn joins a cult whose members desperately want to believe in some sort of life after death, for various reasons. In a hospital in central Germany, Hanna awakens from a coma after a serious car accident and wonders how the hell her son Jacob, 14, managed to save himself and her from certain death for drowning. When a few days later Jacob suddenly claims to remember a previous life, a life in which he was the pilot of a missing plane, the lives of these three women will change dramatically.
Funny woman
A young woman from Liverpool to the Research of her own voice in the world of 1960s comedy, a world dominated by male voices. Barbara Parker (Gemma Arterton) is a beauty queen who dreams big: she wants to be famous. Moving to London, however, she discovers that navigating the streets of the capital, and above all the streets of the entertainment industry, is less fun and simpler than expected.
After some setbacks, Barbara, determined as never before, realizes she has a secret weapon: her Nordic humor. Unexpectedly, the audience falls in love with her. In her future there is a new sitcom that could make British television history: will it be a success or a fiasco?
