The medical helicopter crash took place on Tuesday, January 11 this year. in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. The machine, carrying four people, including a two-month-old girl, hit a busy street and then slipped into bushes near the Methodist Church.
Local service officials say the pilot performed a real miracle by bypassing the power line network and other buildings.
The plane was lying on its side in two parts just in front of the church building. Rescue teams helped a pilot, two crew members and a baby to get out of the wreckage, Upper Darby Chief Police Officer Timothy M. Bernhardt told a press conference. Nobody was seriously injured.
“By all accounts, what the pilot did is amazing,” said Dr. Monica Taylor, president of Delaware County Council.
Local media reports that the probable cause of the accident was mechanical problems during the flight.
