V and Suga of BTS recently reunited on the web show “Suchwita” to promote his solo album, “Layover”.
During the episode, the idol discussed BTS’ career by discussing several topics including the true meaning of the lyrics of “Outro: Tear”.
The track “Outro: Tear” from the 2018 album “Love Yourself: Tear” depicts the members thinking about disbanding the group, rather than a song about a breakup between lovers. The lyrics read: “The separation is for me
A tear that blooms unconsciously in my eyes
All the things that couldn’t be said flow
And buried feelings crawl across my face
For me you were my darling for a moment
But now just a beer that served
My heart is colored by self-loathing
It is even empty of the passing wind
Separation is the reward that comes

Just before the release of “Fake Love” in 2018, the group was going through a difficult time.
The members thought they should write a song about the hardships they endured at the time. Many fans may interpret the lyrics of “Tear” as a breakup song, but Suga confirmed that it was indeed a message to the members among themselves.
Suga explained: “It was when we were talking about renewing the contract. Then, while Namjoon, j-hope and I were writing “Tear,” we sent a long text to the other members saying, “We love you guys.”
V replied: “After seeing this, Jung Kook and I found the will to continue. We need to think more positively at this time. So it was really touching. Thanks to this text, I was able to get back on my feet”expressing his gratitude to Suga.
Overcoming these difficult times, BTS has since been able to establish itself as a global star. They recently announced the suspension of their group activities due to mandatory member enlistment. However, each of them shows their presence by performing at major festivals and topping music charts around the world with their solo promotions.
As the latest BTS member to make a solo debut, V was recognized for his unique musical color with the release of “Layover” on September 4 and earned the title of “million seller.”
V said: “Seeing the members make their solo debut, I was so overwhelmed when my turn came. I feel so much pressure but I really love the album.”
V and Suga also hinted as to when the members will reunite as a full group after completing their solo activities and mandatory service.
