Vince McMahon’s brother was invited to a wrestling convention

Speaking at the latest episode of Eric Bischoff’s “83 Weeks” podcast, guest Conrad Thompson revealed that he had attempted to have Vince McMahon’s brother, Roderick McMahon, at Starrcast II in May 2019. Thompson first thought of calling Vince but the idea was rejected, as were Kurt Angle and The Undertaker. Then Thompson contacted the brother of the president of the WWE, as well as Eric Angle (brother of Kurt) and Brian Lee but he was not able to bring any of them to the event:

” I tried to have Eric Angle, Kurt’s brother, I tried to call Brian Lee, the famous SummerSlam ’94 fake Undertaker, and then I found, with a little help from my friend, a mutual friend of ours … Rod McMahon. I talked to him, we gave a speech, and then I got a call from Bruce Prichard who said ‘c *** or are you doing ?!’ And nothing was done.

Bischoff replied by saying that he was unable to go into the details of the behind-the-scenes conversations he had had in WWE, but he thought that Thompson would earn the respect of the company executives for his unique approach.
