“Voices in the shadows” is back to reward dubbing masters – Cinema

(ANSA) – GENOA, NOVEMBER 24 – The Italian voices of Tom Cruise, Harvey Keitel, Kristen Stewart, Jared Leto, Dominique Davenport, Austin Butler, Kenneth Branagh, John Malkovich celebrated at the “Voices in the Shadows” International Dubbing Festival rewards the excellence of dubbing in cinema, television, audiovisual products. The event, now in its 23rd edition, is scheduled from 28 November to 4 December between Savona and Genoa.

«Do you know Maverick’s exploits in the latest Top Gun? We too – declares Tiziana Voarino, director of the “Voci nell’ombra” Festival – sometimes we think we can’t make it, but with determined solutions we find a way to get back up and give the steering stick the necessary direction and strength. We can count on the originality of the idea and the format because our Festival was born twenty-three years ago, and even more: it grows and evolves without fear”.

Among the nominations for cinema: Rodolfo Bianchi for Macbeth, Mario Cordova for Cyrano, Roberto Gammino for Elvis. Among the nominations for television: Stefano Benassi for Stranger Things, Giampaolo Gammino for Partner Track and Fabrizio Mazzotta for The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.

The “Claudio G. Fava” Lifetime Achievement Award 2022 will go to Luca Biagini, voice of John Malkovich, Colin Firth, Michael Keaton, as well as one of the protagonists of the Rai Survivors fiction filmed in Genoa. (HANDLE).
