Jastrzębski Węgiel’s volleyball players were given free time for Christmas (23-28 December), but after the break Stephen Boyer did not show up for training (here information about the absence of the French). He was supposed not to answer any further inquiries about the date of his return to the club, but after a few days he found himself. On Monday morning he showed up for training, although he cannot fully participate in the classes, because a month ago he underwent an operation to fix a broken metacarpal bone. The surgery took place in Bourdeaux, and after it Boyer returned to the club, where he undergoes further rehabilitation. His return to the game will only be possible in two or three months, which means that in the optimistic version, the 25-year-old attacker will not return to the field until the play-offs.
We asked his manager Georges Matijasievic about the reasons for the Frenchman’s delay, but he sent us to the club for more information. On Sunday evening we did not receive any comment on this matter, but the following day we were given the following position: – The player is in the club, he participated in Monday’s training. Previously, he was in health matters in France, in health matters, he was under the control of French doctors who operated on him – says the club’s spokesman Marcin Fejkiel.
It does not change the fact that the consequences are to be drawn against the volleyball player being late. The player has not yet talked to president Adam Gorol, who is on vacation until the middle of the week, but after the club’s helmsman returns, Boyer will meet with the authorities and the training staff. We also asked the coach of Jastrzębski Węgiel – Andrea Gardini to comment on this, but the Italian refused to talk about it.
