we will implement measures to reduce fuel prices. Their cost for the budget may exceed PLN 1 billion

Together with our anti-inflationary package, we will implement several solutions that will lead to a relative reduction in prices at petrol stations, announced Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during his visit to Zagreb. He added that it is about reducing certain components of the fuel price.

Prime Minister Morawiecki paid a visit to Zagreb on Tuesday, where he met with the head of the Croatian government, Andrej Plenkovic. During a later press conference, Morawiecki was asked by journalists whether the government, following the example of Hungary, is considering introducing maximum fuel prices at stations in order to fight inflation.

We will implement several such solutions along with our anti-inflation package, which will lead to a relative reduction in prices at petrol stations. However, we will not do it, for the moment, certainly by imposing a maximum price, replied Prime Minister Morawiecki.

These will be moves that will cost the budget a lot of money, even over a billion zlotysbut we do not want to do it by imposing administrative restrictions, but by reducing certain components of the fuel price – the Prime Minister announced.
