Wendell & Wild: the first clip of the animated film directed by Henry Selick

Netflix shared the first clip of the animated film Wendell & Wild, the new project directed by director Henry Selick.

The Geeked Week event organized by Netflix gave the first clip of the animated film Wendell & Wilddirected by Henry Selick and coming in October.
In the video, the protagonist Kat is seen moving through the corridors of a high school and investigating a strange paranormal phenomenon linked, apparently, to a teddy bear.

To give voice to the protagonists of Wendell and Wild, in the original version of the film, will be Lyric Ross (This Is Us), James Hong (Kung Fu Panda), Tamara Smart (A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting), Natalie Martinez (The Twilight Zone), Tantoo Cardinal (Dances with Wolves), Gabrielle Dennis (A Black Lady Sketch Show), Igal Naor (300: Rise of an Empire), David Harewood (Tulip Fever), Maxine Peake (Black Mirror), Ramona Young (Never Have I Ever), Sam Zelaya, Seema Virdi, Gary Gatewood and Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction), as well as the trio consisting of Keegan Michael Key, Jordan Peele and Angela Bassett.

Jordan Peele will be involved as co-writer on the project alongside Henry Selick. At the center of the plot will be the demon brothers Wendell (Keegan-Michael Key) and Wild (Peele) who ask for the help of Kat Elliot, who at 13 already has a lot of guilt, to invoke them in the Land of the Living. But what Kat asks in return leads to a bizarre and comical adventure, an animated fantasy that goes against the laws of life and death, all told through the art of stop motion animation.

The soundtrack will be signed by Bruno Coulais.
