Liverpool and Real Madrid face each other in the Champions League final, at the Stade de France, on May 28 at 4 pm (GMT). In addition to the protagonists of the show, UEFA, organizer of the competition, confirmed the singer Camila Cabello as the main attraction of the opening ceremony of the final of the competition.

The Cuban-American singer-songwriter is expected to star in a little more than five-minute show of her chart-topping hits before the teams take to the field.

Enthusiastic about the show, the 25-year-old, who has previously performed alongside Shawn Mendes, Machine Gun Kelly, Pharrell Williams and Ed Sheeran, said: “I am so excited to take the stage at the Champions League final in Paris, this month.”

“I intend to put on a really special show, bringing together the spirit of my Latin heritage and a feeling of togetherness for sports and music fans all over the world – I can’t wait!”

Cabello added on Instagram: “I have a lot of surprises in store for you.”

UEFA is preparing a full pre-match celebration, with the carnival theme also present in the spectacle that will be seen at the Stade de France and on millions of tuned devices around the world.

Who is Camila Cabello?

At the age of 25, Camila Cabello was born in Havana, Cuba, and since her adolescence she has been participating in a musical group on a reality show. Before moving to Miami, in the United States, and becoming successful, Cabello lived in Mexico. Afterwards, she participated in X Factor USA, where she was selected to form the group Fifth Harmony.
