Kathryn NewtonCassie Lang in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummaniatalked about teaming up with other young heroes, especially the Kate Bishop of Hailee Steinfeld.
During the interview with Phase Zeroalthough Newtons did not have an answer, he declared his interest saying “you know, we’re friends in the comics“.
Yeah, I told Hailee recently at the Vanity Fair Oscar party and like, I don’t know anything but I know from the comics that… we both know, I told her. I’m like, “You know, we’re friends in the comics” and we’re both like, “Well, maybe. I do not know”. So I think that’s all the fans want
Also during Comic-Con, in conversation with TV extrasthe actress, when asked about her thoughts on a possible collaboration with Kate Bishop, said…
They are friends, you know. And I find it so interesting. I would love it. I would love it. And the other really cool thing is that Iron Lad is also Kang, who is also Jonathan [Majors]. And I’m like, well, what’s going on there… Multiverse, let’s go!”
A Kate Bishop cameo in the next Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania it’s not entirely unlikely. If a future Young Avengers project is indeed on the horizon, it would make sense for Marvel to start teaming up as soon as possible.
In the trailer of the awaited cinecomic Marvel we see the Ant-Man family being sucked into the Quantum Realm. The protagonists will have to deal with Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) and with the perils of time travel. In the description of the trailer shown at SDCC, Kang asks incredulously: “Are you an Avenger?” and says to Scott: “Have I already killed you?“. This clearly suggests that the villain had met Earth’s Mightiest Heroes before.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania with Michael Douglas, Jonathan Majors, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Kathryn Newton And Michelle Pfeiffer will be released in February 2023.
