Microsoft is finally struggling with more and more frequent technical problems appearing on October 5 this year. Windows 11. Most often they are caused by errors in subsequent system updates or even drivers that are incompatible with the new OS. Recently, we wrote, inter alia, about the so-called the black screen of death that shows up to some Windows 11 users. Now there’s a new problem.

Windows 10 and 11 with another problem

As reported by Windows Central, some applications stopped starting on some computers after updating the operating system. Among the inoperable applications are some released by the anti-virus manufacturer Kaspersky. The Windows installer module, which freezes some programs, turns out to be guilty.

The error in Windows is so problematic that the operation of the affected applications cannot be easily overturned. In fact, your only option is to uninstall and reinstall the application. It is recommended by Microsoft itself.

The problem has occurred with some people who updated their operating system to KB5007215, released on November 9. The update fixed two critical security flaws, however, and brought about a new problem. Interestingly, this applies to both the latest Windows 11 and older Windows 10.

Of course, Microsoft already knows about the problem and is already working on an appropriate update to restore all programs to normal operation. For now, however, it is not known when the patch will appear in Windows Update. A complete list of the affected system versions can be found on the Microsoft support site.
