Refreshed Windows Media Player reaches users faster than we initially assumed. It turns out it’s already available for some in Windows 11, in addition to the Windows Insider program.
Everything points to the fact that it is enough to be patient and – most likely after the update is available from the Microsoft Store – start using the new one Media Player (and in parallel, the refreshed application Photos) on Windows 11 – writes Windows Latest. Although last week we gave a handful of information about the planned changes to Media Player, then without knowing the real release date, we now know that the player should now go to computers – and not only in the summer.
According to reports, from the refreshed Photos application and Windows Media Player some may already be using it outside of the Insider testing program, and in it remains available only Notebookwhich has recently gained support for dark theme, among other things. So you just have to wait for the proper update to enjoy the refreshed interface of the player that is certainly remembered better than that Groove music known from Windows 10.
The new Media Player will become the default sound player in Windows 11, which should please everyone who plays locally stored music. On a daily basis, however, Media Player will probably be less used than in the times of, for example, Windows XP, due to the popularity of streaming services.
