Wirtualna Polska – Everything important

Everything indicated that the penalty shootout competition would be decisive for the Italian Super Cup. Nothing of that. Inter Milan scored Juventus FC with a 2-1 goal in the last extra-time move.

The Italian champion from Milan and the Coppa Italia winner from Turin fought for the first cup of the season in calcio. The clubs tried to postpone the match until the summer, but the organizer of the tournament did not agree to it. Therefore, as scheduled, they met in January. It was not a lucky date for Wojciech Szczęsny, who was missing from the eleven due to procedures related to vaccination against the coronavirus.

Inter has been victorious on all fronts recently and had the advantage of its own stadium. Simone Inzaghi’s side attacked early in the game and pushed Juventus under his own goal. After one chance to take the lead, Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez were wasted. They both missed the target and did not even test Szczęsny’s double – Mattia Perin. The Italian still had to wait for the exam.

Juventus focused on defense, having a hard time holding the ball and bringing it to Inter’s half. Bianconeri must learn to function without an injured Federico Chiesa, and replacing a creative and dynamic Italian is no easy task. It was only in the 21st minute that Juventus had a goalkeeping chance, and Milan Skriniar at the last moment prevented Weston McKenni from making a strike from Federico Bernardeschi.
