Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will not be able to speak during the Tuesday debate in the European Parliament devoted to the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border, RMF FM informed, citing the EP spokesman.

On Tuesday, the European Parliament will hold a debate on the migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border. The Polish Press Agency previously announced that Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will take part in the discussion and will deliver a speech. Representatives of the Polish authorities have been making efforts to speak in the last few hours.

However, as RMF FM reports, the Polish prime minister was ultimately refused to speak because “in this type of debate all countries are already represented by the six-month presidency of the EU Council.” The information was confirmed by the EP spokesman. The Minister of Slovenia will speak on behalf of Poland at the beginning of the debate.
