Swedish Frida Karlsson was the fastest in the 10-kilometer competition on Saturday, ahead of the Norwegian Theresa Johaug and the German Katherina Hennig. The Polish women did not perform well, among which the best was the world junior champion Monika Skinder, who took 34th place.

“Overall, I am satisfied”

– From the beginning I tried to go hard not to waste a single kilometer. The second lap was weaker. I felt everything freezing to me, because today the conditions were very difficult and I had not run in such frost for a long time. Overall, I am happy with the performance as it is my best result in 10 kilometers, she said.

The 20-year-old pointed out that she expected more after Friday’s start in her crown competition, i.e. in the sprint.

– Yesterday’s sprint hurt me a bit, because I must admit that I was counting on entering 30. However, I made too many technical errors, which is unacceptable with such an even rate – she emphasized.

Ewelina Marcisz was 39th, 1.58.6 behind the winner.

– In such conditions, you run well, only the skin stings and your fingers hurt. I remember my first run in Ruce two years ago. Then I made a mistake and took off too fast and this route is treacherous, she added.

– In “classic” I can never do my best, I don’t know what it depends on. However, I am satisfied with today’s race, and tomorrow I hope for an even better result – Marcisz said in an interview with Eurosport.
