Xbox he threw Project Amplifya program designed to support the young people of color who wish to work in the gaming.
A few days after the words of Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond on accessibility as the future of gaming, Xbox therefore launches a new social initiative, which starts from the results of a survey conducted by National Historically Black Colleges and Universitiesaccording to which around 95% of students would be interested in pursuing a career in this sector.
However, currently only 2% of people working in the gaming industry are black, and that’s why Microsoft wanted to launch Project Amplify: an initiative that consists of a series of informative videosfull of advice, life stories and tips from black developers aimed at those who want to take this path.
In addition to the videos, a collaboration with 2022 Revolt Summit x AT&T will allow the Redmond home to hold panel and meeting opportunities with the students, starting with the days of today and tomorrow, so as to establish a first contact between a working reality of great importance and the people who in the future will try to enter this world.
Finally, the post dedicated to Project Amplify is accompanied by a multitude of practical resources, with links to insights and development tools that could be useful to those who decide to pursue a career as a programmer and beyond.
