Xiaomi registers its second car company

In the first half of this year, Xiaomi announced plans to enter the Intelligent Electric Vehicle (EV) industry. To underline the importance of striving to introduce its own electric vehicles, the manufacturer has officially announced the founding of Xiaomi EV Company Limited. Among other things, it is thanks to her that she hopes to fulfill her dream of producing electric vehicles.

Xiaomi did not rest on its laurels and recently registered its second car company in Beijing, known as Xiaomi Automobile Technology Co. Ltd. Its registered capital is around 1 billion yuan, and its activities include vehicle production and technology development.

What will be the division of responsibilities between companies? We do not know yet, but perhaps this new company will deal with in-vehicle devices and accessories, while the first company will be responsible for the actual production of the vehicles.

Xiaomi founder Lei Jun recently revealed that his company will begin mass production of its own electric vehicles in the first half of 2024. He also added that Xiaomi Home stores will be responsible for the sale and after-sales service of these vehicles in the future.

Surely, there will be more information related to Xiaomi concluding contracts with other companies soon. Of course, everything is shrouded in great mystery, and the president himself reveals only rudimentary information, thus building the interest of other producers who are watching his hands closely.
