The Smarwtatche Huawei Watch GT 2 and GT 2e join the Watch GT 2 Pro and receive the option to install third-party third-party applications in China. We also know that such an option will appear globally.
Huawei Watch GT 2 and GT 2e – access to third-party applications
An important surprise awaits the owners of two Huawei smartwatches working under the control of the manufacturer’s proprietary operating system. On Huawei Watch GT 2 (released in 2019) and Watch GT 2e (debuting in 2020), we will already install third-party applications from today.
Thus, they join the new generation Watch GT 3, as well as the more powerful Watch GT 2 Pro variant, which was the first to have such an opportunity at the beginning of this year. Their owners can now update their smartwatches to the following versions:
- Huawei Watch GT 2 42 mm – 188.8.131.52,
- Huawei Watch GT 2 46 mm – 184.108.40.206/78,
- Huawei Watch GT 2e – 220.127.116.11.
At the moment, new software appears only in Chinawhere closed beta testing is underway. After successfully passing the tests, we can count on its wider, global availability, as was the case with the Watch GT 2 Pro.
Thus, I hope that in this case the number of available, useful applications for smartwatches in AppGallery will also gradually increase.
It is also worth mentioning that this is not the only novelty that goes to both watches. There is also an extremely useful possibility checking heart rate data directly on our watch, not necessarily in the app itself.
Not only Xiaomi 12 and Motorola. Another competitor with the new Snapdragon in December!
