Rapper Lil Keed has died at age 24, his brother has confirmed. The rising Atlanta star, whose real name is Raqhid Render, is survived by daughter Naychur. The artist was part of the YSL label of rapper Young Thug, who this week was arrested on several charges. His brother wrote: “Can’t believe I saw you die today bro, I cried and screamed a lot, I know what you want me to do and this is hard for mommy daddy, our brothers Naychur and Whiteboy.” On the latest Trapped on Cleveland 3 album in 2020, he collaborated with Travis Scott, Young Thug and Chris Brown.
The cause of death has not yet been confirmed. The rapper was the youngest of seven children and signed to Young Thug’s label YSL (Young Stoner Life) as well as 300 Entertainment. Lil Keed had spoken out in support of Young Thug earlier this week after the rapper was arrested and charged with gang-related crimes. He wrote: ‘YSL is a family. YSL is a label. YSL is a way of life. YSL is a way of life. YSL is not a gang. YSL is not a [organização] criminal. YSL is not a street gang. YSL is not a mafia.’
Lil Keed and Lil Gotit previously featured on Lil Uzi Vert’s song Heavy Meta in 2018, the same year he released his first two albums, Trapped on Cleveland 2 and Keed Talk To ‘Em.
