Zoe Saldana is grateful to be a part of big franchises, but she felt artistically stuck | Cinema

Zoe Saldana appears in the two most successful film franchises currently in existence, the Marvel Cinematic Universe And Avatars which, in a few days, will return to cinemas with La via dell’acqua, the blockbuster by James Cameron to be released on 14 December.

The actress recently admitted that she is very grateful to be among the protagonists of colossal sagas like the ones mentioned – to which, among other things, we must also add Star Trek where he played the role of Uhura – but that she still felt artistically stuck in the last decade.

For the past ten years, I have felt like I’ve been stuck. I felt stuck in these huge franchises. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities they’ve given me, from collaborating with amazing directors to meeting other cast members who I consider my friends to playing a role that fans, especially children, love. But it also seems to me that I have been artistically blocked in the work of expanding and growing my profession, I have not been able to test myself by interpreting different genres and different roles.

Avatars 2 will arrive in Italian cinemas on December 14 and in American ones on December 16.
