Zoe Saldaña talks about herself in the new In The Bag video for Vogue

Zoe Saldana empties his giant purse – almost diving his face into it – for Vogue and show off the items he can’t live without, on whatever set he’s on.

The 43-year-old American actress has a certain penchant for fantasy films, having previously starred in Avatars, Star Trek And The Avengers. As we speak, she’s reprising her character from the AvengersGamora, for the new Marvel film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is expected to be released in May 2023. (We can’t wait). And his latest release is the Netflix sci-fi adventure, The Adam Project, starring Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Garner.

When she’s not filming or other on-set activity, she models her new Adidas capsule collection, or relaxes at her Beverly Hills home with her husband, Italian artist Marco Perego-Saldaña. The two married in 2013 and now have three children: Bowie, Cy and Zen. Not surprisingly, the first object she takes out of the bag alludes to their romantic relationship: a diary given to her by her husband with a poem written in pen on the first page.

Digging deeper into the depths of her purse, Zoe fishes out something a little less poetic: her phone, decorated with stickers of “tits, titties of all kinds”. For the avoidance of doubt, she reveals the origin of the aforementioned stickers, namely the brand of her friend Jamie Mizrahi, Kit Undergarments. “I like them a lot because I love women, and my children are also amused every time they pick up the phone” she comments, laughing.

“There’s also a sticker that says ‘call mom’, because I always want to remember to call my mom,” Zoe continues. Her mother, Puerto Rican, is also the reason why there is always a pair of sunglasses in her bag. She “she When she was young she wore spectacular Ray-Bans, the big ones, and she really fit her too well. I love them because every time I see them in my purse I feel like I’m her.”

Among the children’s make-up, perfume, hair ties and toys, Zoe finds a lip balm with a special story. “A friend of mine, Cameron Diaz — not to brag — has this wonderful habit where when you compliment her on her makeup, if she’s got that makeup on her at the time, she’ll just give it to you.”
